Strawberry Picking - Davenport

Spent a lovely afternoon picking strawberries in Swanton farm , Davenport .It was fun but a bit windy in the farm .During the drive there was this program on radio about "your favorite weekend getaway place in bay area " .Vasu called up and requested Meghalalo Thelipomanadhi song from Gulabi . He did tell about our favorite places here, Carmel and Big Sur and how much we love exploring new places here .When he requested this song the anchor was like we were already on cloud nine .. hahah .Anyway here is the best line by line translation i could do for the song .

We went to the shark fin beach after that and spent 2 hours or so snacking and reading the book Marley and me .Btw did i tell u that i got few compliments for my dress and necklace .. haha .... tried my best not to include that in this post .. hehe .. couldn't help ....one was from a 7 years old or so ,two days and i am still blushing .. the little one sure made my day haha ....

Carmel City beach

Needless to say , I have been quite loud mouthed about how much we love Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur .Off late i have been running out of names for our picasa albums consisting of pics from these places , we already have Carmel,Point Lobos,Big Sur,17 miles drive ,Montarey ,Montarey long weekend etc ,i can never get enough of this place :)... As always loved the drive .I was telling Vasu that after a couple of years we should come to California to celebrate our silver jubilee or something like that .Visiting all these places again . Ahh love bay area feels like a extended and never ending honeymoon ,can't get enough of bay area and for that matter can't get enough of each other !!!! Saw this wedding going on at the Carmel river state beach ,isnt it romantic !!!

We found this awesome beach called Carmel city park beach ,trust me its the holy grail of all bay area beaches .Such clean aqua blue water ,though the water was bluish only when the sky was clear :) ..... So sad i don't have photos to justify that !!! We ran out battery as soon as we reached there thanks to my mid week photography attempt !! Got down into the water after a long time the water was cold like all other bay area beaches :) ... Here is a silly line on beaches here "Beaches beaches everywhere , but can not get down anywhere " haha ..Played in water for sometime and went for a second round of lunch again did some window shopping too and again stopped for some time at the beach .
