Our first summer vacation this year .. and loved it to death :).
The sunny San Deigo was such a relief from the cold and gloomy weather of bay area then .
The beaches were warm and sunny .This was our first road trip through the beautiful CA 1 route .This route is supposed to be one of the most beautiful drives in US and it sure didn't disappoint .It was beautiful all throughout .Our first stop of the trip was , at the Bixby bridge,we just couldn't pass without stopping .Then the Peiffer state beach ,finally we found it ,we made a couple of unsuccessful attempts before to go there but never found the place .I took some picture of the white horse from the car at a farm near the beach ,it has such a soulful eyes .. gosh !!!We stopped at few of the vista points and headed towards Pismo beach .
We couldn't get parking , so had to pass the place .Stopped again at couple of places in LA like Malibue and Santa Barbara .We stayed over night in LA in this Spanish inspired hotel and loved the places , included a couple of pictures from the same here .Next day headed towards San Deigo .Loved the Balboa park there ,San Deigo version of the central park ! and sunset cliffs and Torry pines state reserve .We had planned to Snorkel in La Jolla but couldn't find parking there ... duh !!!We never even made it to the beach itself !!!Did i mention our memorial day BBQ lunch ,loved loved loved it .....That was just the glimpse of our vacation .. i simply do not have the patience to go into the details .. lol
I heart this picture of Vasu , he kept telling me then how much he loved this vacation :)
